Yolk Recruitment is representing a leading organisation in Merthyr Tydfil in search of a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer. This role operates on a 4on4off days/nights shift, maintaining and repairing equipment to keep production lines running smoothly.

The ideal candidate will have maintenance engineering experience in fast-paced manufacturing or food production, with strong electrical fault-finding skills and a proactive, team-oriented approach.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance engineering in fast-paced manufacturing or food production.
• Strong electrical fault-finding and repair skills.
• NVQ/HNC or equivalent in Electrical Engineering.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct planned and reactive maintenance to minimise downtime and ensure the smooth running of production lines.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Ensure all work complies with health and safety standards and food industry regulations.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, optimising processes and enhancing efficiency.
• Work collaboratively with production and engineering teams to ensure seamless operation.

Position Overview:

As a Maintenance Engineer working a 4on4off shift you will be a crucial part of our client's operations. You will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a range of equipment, ensuring the smooth running of production processes, and contributing to the overall efficiency of the facility. This is what you'll be doing.

• Strong electrical fault-finding and repair skills
• A proactive and problem-solving approach, with the ability to work effectively under pressure
• Recognised Electrical Engineering Qualifications (NVQ, HNC, or equivalent)
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team within a fast-paced setting
