Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR in Thurmaston, Leicester, is recruiting an electrically biased Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join the site engineering team on a double day shift with occasional nights. You will perform reactive and preventive maintenance, drive continuous improvement, and fault-find on motors, sensors, drives and control systems to maximise equipment uptime and reliability across the site.

Job Description

We are currently supporting a well-established manufacturing business based in Thurmaston, Leicester who are looking to add an electrically biased Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Engineer to their engineering team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a stable, well‑invested manufacturing site where engineers are trusted to take ownership of maintenance and improvement activities across the plant.

The role operates on a double day shift pattern (6am-2pm / 2pm-10pm) with one week of nights every five weeks. The night shift week consists of four x 8-hour shifts, providing a balanced and manageable rotation.

Role

You will be responsible for supporting the site through a mixture of reactive maintenance, planned preventative maintenance and continuous improvement activity. Working closely with production teams, you will play a key role in ensuring machinery uptime and driving reliability across the facility.

• Electrical and mechanical fault finding on manufacturing equipment

What We’re Looking For

We were keen to speak with engineers who have experience within manufacturing or production environments, ideally with a strong electrical skillset. You will ideally have:

• Experience fault finding on three-phase electrical systems
• Strong problem‑solving ability within a fast‑paced manufacturing environment
• A proactive attitude towards maintenance and reliability
• Electrical qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds / HNC or equivalent would be advantageous.
