Job summary

Nicholas Associates is looking for a Maintenance Engineer - Multi-skilled (Electrical bias) for our food manufacturing site in North East Lincolnshire. The role involves reactive and preventative maintenance across production equipment and site services, with a 2 days/2 nights/4 off pattern.

You will have an electrical engineering qualification, experience with SCADA environments, PLC fault finding, and the ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.

Qualifications

• Electrical engineering qualification or certification is essential.
• Reactive maintenance on production equipment and site services.
• Preventative maintenance of production equipment.
• Knowledge of 12/24V DC, 240V, and 415V 3‑phase systems.
• HACCP experience beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Respond to reactive and breakdown maintenance on production equipment and site services.
• Perform planned preventative maintenance on production equipment.
• Maintain CMMS records and documentation within a SCADA environment.
• Diagnose PLC faults and implement improvements.
• Work at heights and in confined spaces; adapt to varying temperatures.

Position : Maintenance Engineer - Multi-skilled (Electrical bias)

Location : North East Lincolnshire, Barton on Humber, Immingham, Grimsby, Caistor. Due to site location you will need your own transport

Sector : Food manufacturing

Shift Pattern : 2 days, 2 nights, 4 off

Bias : Mechanical, electrical or multi-skilled

Salary : £52,000 basic plus contracted overtime to cover holidays taking earnings to £60,000

Visa Support : No, you must have the right to work in the UK

The Site

Modern, highly automated food production facility

Apprentice trained is ideal but not essential.

Food or FMCG experience is preferred but not essential

• An electrical engineering qualification or certification is essential
• Reactive and breakdown response to production equipment, site services and facilities
• Planned preventative maintenance of production equipment
• 12 and 24 Volt DC, 240 volt, 415 volt 3 phase
• Experience of working in a SCADA controlled environment beneficial
• Maintaining the CMMS
• Plc fault finding knowledge
• HACCP experience beneficial
• Must be happy working at heights (MEWPs), in confined areas and in varying temperatures
• Able to build HMI panels beneficial
• Able to do basic welding, fabrication, turning, milling beneficial
