Job summary

A specialist high precision component and machine manufacturer is recruiting a Maintenance Engineer in Rochdale, Greater Manchester. The role offers days and early shifts with early finish Fridays and significant overtime opportunities.

You'll maintain onsite machinery, respond to CNC breakdowns, and perform fault finding and PPM tasks while reading engineering drawings and working under pressure with a recognised apprenticeship or time-served background.

Qualifications

• Excellent mechanical skills with a bias to CNC machinery/metal cutting.
• Reactive maintenance experience is essential.
• Experience repairing CNC and manual machinery.
• Proficient at reading engineering drawings and schematics.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage a varied workload.
• Recognised apprenticeship qualification or time served equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Maintain onsite machinery and equipment to ensure optimum production levels.
• Respond to CNC breakdowns including turning, milling, and grinding machines.
• Efficient fault finding and repairs on CNC machines and heavy equipment.
• Timely completion of planned maintenance (PPM).
• Check and calibrate instruments and equipment.
• Organise on-site machine servicing contractors.
• Be flexible to undertake domestic maintenance/repairs as required.

The Job

• Maintenance of all onsite machinery and equipment to allow optimum production levels.
• Responding to CNC breakdowns including turning, milling, and grinding machines
• Efficient fault finding and repairs on CNC machines and heavy equipment.
• Timely completion of PPM as per schedules
• Check and calibrate instruments and equipment.
• Organization of on-site machine servicing contractors
• Flexible to undertake domestic maintenance/repairs as required.

About you

Salary: £40000-£45000/annum Neg DOE + exc benefits
