Job summary
Hunter Selection is seeking a Poole-based Maintenance Engineer to join the engineering team. The role focuses on reducing downtime, proactive maintenance, and continuous improvement in a busy production environment.
You will work Monday to Friday with overtime and occasional weekend work; the benefits package includes a 50k-52k salary plus a bonus, pension, generous holiday entitlement and development opportunities.
Qualifications
- Formal Engineering Qualification (C&G Level 3 / NVQ Level 3 / Apprenticeship)
- Continous improvement knowledge
- Strong knowledge of good engineering standards
- Experience in engineering, manufacturing or production environments
Responsibilities
- Respond to machine breakdowns to minimise downtime and improve long-term reliability
- Assist in executing maintenance plan (preventative and reactive)
- Use root cause analysis tools and 5S
- Support a culture of continuous improvement to engineer out persistent problems
- Carry out routine Planned Preventative Maintenance
- Record all maintenance tasks on electronic reporting system
