Job summary

Paralloy Limited, based in Billingham, is seeking a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to support electrical and mechanical maintenance across plant systems. You will install, service and fault find, ensuring compliance with safety standards and producing reliable uptime.

Working closely with the Maintenance Supervisor, you will respond to breakdowns, manage planned and reactive work, liaise with contractors, and engage with stakeholders at all levels.

Qualifications

• Recognised apprenticeship in mechanical or electrical maintenance.
• Experience with PLC control systems preferred.
• Ability to fault find mechanical and electrical faults.

Responsibilities

• Work safely in line with Paralloy safety standards and complete risk assessments before tasks.
• Ensure compliance is maintained across electrical and mechanical systems.
• Respond to breakdowns and manage planned and reactive work efficiently.
• Carry out electrical installation work as required.
• Use data and systems to manage site electrical and control systems.
• Liaise with third party contractors and suppliers as needed.
• Engage with stakeholders at all levels to coordinate activities.

Principle Function:

We are looking for an experienced Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team to support the Maintenance Supervisor in ensuring both Electrical and Mechanical compliance. This will include the carrying out of installation and maintaining of systems, along with ensuring that breakdowns and planned activities are managed effectively.

Responsibilities and duties include:

• Working safely throughout all activities in line with Paralloys safety standards and procedures, ensuring a full Risk Assessment is carried out prior to undertaking any task.
• Ensuring applicable compliance is maintained.
• Responding to Electrical and Mechanical breakdowns & faults and managing planned & reactive work in a timely and logical manner.
• Carry out electrical installation work as required.
• Using appropriate data and systems to manage the site’s electrical & control systems.
• Liaise with and assist in the managing of third party contractors.
• Liaise and engage with stakeholders at all levels.

Essential Skills and Attributes:

• Recognised apprenticeship within a Mechancial or Electrical maintenance.
• Knowledge of plant control and the use of PLC and control systems is preferred.
• Ability to fault find mechanical.
• Enthusiastic and computer literate, with good interpersonal skills along with the ability to work as part of a team or unsupervised.
