Job summary

Greencore in Newark is seeking a Maintenance Engineer for the Newark site to maintain and optimise processing and packaging assets in a fast-paced production environment. The role requires hands-on electrical and mechanical expertise, planned and predictive maintenance, and support for machinery changeovers.

The position is site-based with 4 on/4 off days, reporting to the Engineering Teams Manager. A strong focus on safety, SOP adherence, and continuous improvement is essential for success in

Qualifications

• Engineering apprenticeship or equivalent
• IET Wiring Regulations knowledge (C&G Level 3)
• Experience applying Safety, Health and Environmental legislation

Responsibilities

• Conduct planned maintenance of processing and packaging assets.
• Conduct predictive maintenance and condition-based monitoring on assets.
• Respond to breakdowns and perform reactive maintenance.
• Identify faults (electrical, mechanical, instrumentation, automation, pneumatics).
• Lead or support machinery changeovers and set ups.
• Manufacture and repair component parts for assets.
• Contribute to continuous improvement projects to optimise assets and processes.
