Job summary

Orange Monkey Recruitment is seeking a Maintenance Engineer for a leading food manufacturer at their Haverhill, Suffolk site. The role offers a 4 on 4 off days pattern (05:30-17:30) with a salary of £52,000 and career progression within a well-invested manufacturing operation.

You will perform planned preventive maintenance across electrical and mechanical systems, respond to breakdowns, support continuous improvement and ensure safety and TPM compliance.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Engineering (or equivalent).
• Experience in fast-paced manufacturing or food production.
• Knowledge of health, safety and environmental legislation.
• Lean manufacturing and TPM principles knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance across electrical and mechanical systems.
• Responding to breakdowns quickly to minimise downtime.
• Fault-finding across production machinery, control systems and ancillary equipment.
• Supporting continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.
• Ensuring all engineering work is completed safely and in line with site standards.
• Contributing to a proactive, team-focused engineering culture.
