Job summary

Ernest-Gordon-Recruitment-Limited is looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join a fast-growing FMCG/manufacturing business in Shepton Mallet. The role covers planned and reactive maintenance on plant machinery, with a 4-on-4-off shift pattern and generous overtime opportunities.

You will work on pasteurisers, packaging lines and related equipment, performing mechanical and electrical fault finding, ensuring safe and efficient operation, and supporting site reliability and progression.

Qualifications

• Experience as maintenance engineer in FMCG/manufacturing.
• Mechanical and electrical repair and fault finding.

Responsibilities

• Planned and reactive maintenance of plant and processing machinery such as pasteurisers, boxers and palletisers.
• Mixture of mechanical and electrical repairs and fault finding.
• Conduct inspections of machinery to ensure efficiency and safety.
• 2x12 hour days from 6am to 6pm and 2x12 hour nights from 6pm to 6am, 4 on 4 off.
• Overtime available at 1.25x weekdays and 1.50x weekends.

In this role you will be responsible for the maintenance of all plant machinery in this long-standing manufacturer. You will provide reactive and planned maintenance on pasteurisers, boxers, palletisers and fillers. This will be a varied role with mechanical and electrical repairs and fault finding.

This company have been operating for over a decade and have rapidly risen to become one of the largest independent producers for oat and plant-based drinks for big household brands. They have been growing rapidly since opening their doors and are looking to become the largest producer in their sector.

This role would suit a Maintenance Engineer with mechanical and electrical experience looking for a flexible 4 on 4 off shift pattern, offering an excellent overtime structure and progression pathway.

The Role
