Forces Recruitment Solutions Group Ltd is seeking a Maintenance Engineer on a full‑time basis in Bedford, UK. The role covers preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems to keep the main site running smoothly.

The successful candidate will read manuals and schematics, coordinate service engineers, manage spares and uphold Health and Safety standards across the site. Ex-military candidates are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience with hydraulics.
• Basic understanding of electrical engineering.
• Able to read and interpret schematics and other technical documents.
• Good communication, ability to keep records and plan preventative works.
• Involved with multiple site areas.
• Strong Health and Safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs and equipment optimisation.
• Support production output and minimise downtime.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic faults.
• Read and interpret manuals, schematics and equipment documents.
• Coordinate service engineers and site infrastructure improvements and new installations.
• Ensure correct spares and inventory are kept and maintained.
• Maintain Health and Safety across the site.
• Suggest continuous improvement to improve reliability and efficiency.
