Job summary

ATA Recruitment Ltd is sourcing a Maintenance Engineer for a long-term role in Dewsbury. The position emphasizes hands-on work, improvements, and progression within a UK-wide engineering group.

The role focuses on maintaining and improving industrial equipment to maximise uptime and production efficiency, with training and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Engineering Qualification or above (Electrical, Maintenance Engineering, Mechatronics, or similar).
• Experience working within manufacturing, production, FMCG, automation, industrial, or engineering environments.
• Strong electrical and/or mechanical fault-finding skills.
• Knowledge of PPM and reactive maintenance.
• Experience with automated machinery, conveyors, robotics, PLCs, or industrial equipment is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance.
• Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults.
• Attend equipment breakdowns and minimise downtime.
• Maintain conveyors, presses, robotics, automated machinery, and production equipment.
• Work on three-phase electrical systems and industrial controls.
• Support continuous improvement and reliability projects.
• Ensure all maintenance work is completed safely and efficiently.
• Collaborate with a large engineering team to support operational performance.

Maintenance Engineer | £45,000 + annual bonus

Salary: £45,000

OTE: £50-55k with bonus and OT.

Location: Dewsbury

Shift Pattern: Day shift 07:00 - 16:00

The site is headed up by an experienced manager who values development of his engineers and will put together a skills matrix specific to you to help build your skill.

The Role

As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving an industrial manufacturing equipment to ensure maximum uptime and production efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Candidate Requirements
