Job description

Jobstore are working in partnership with our client to recruit a multi-skilled maintenance engineer to join their leading UK manufacturing operation in Widnes.

We are looking for an Engineer that is timeserved or HNC/HND qualified Mechanical or Electrical Maintenance to work Day shifts, and provide rapid, safe response to general equipment and facility breakdowns, performing and documenting planned maintenance and regular inspections.

You will be responsible for Performing electrical and mechanical repairs, Assisting with installation and modification of machines and equipment and conducting preventive and predictive maintenance including PPM activities.

Applicants must have the following;

Recognised apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 / HNC in Mechanical or Electrical Maintenance.

Proven experience in a manufacturing maintenance environment.

Strong diagnostic and repair skills across electrical and mechanical systems.

Current 18th Edition BS 7671 certification (City & Guilds 2382 or equivalent).

Working knowledge of TPM principles and proactive maintenance planning.

Experience working with CNC equipment, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.

TIG welding and light fabrication capabilities preferred.

Familiarity with ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 frameworks.

Proactive, safety conscious and solution driven.

Excellent communication, teamwork, and independent work skills.
