This Mechanical Maintenance Engineer role is based in the Swadlincote area. The working hours are Monday to Friday, dayshift from 7am to 3pm.

This vacancy offers a salary of circa £40,000, plus company pension match, a generous holiday allowance, and overtime opportunities at x1.5 and x2, potentially increasing earnings to over £46,000 or £47,000.

Responsibilities of a Maintenance Engineer

• Develop plant-wide proactive and reactive mechanical maintenance activities to ensure optimal factory performance
• Perform Planned Preventative Maintenance, Inspections, Service Repairs, and Reactive maintenance on Conveyors, Shafts, Bearings, Drives, Gearboxes, Pumps, hydraulics, pneumatics, etc.
• Maintain optimal plant capacity, minimize downtime, and work as part of a forward-thinking, dynamic engineering team

Requirements to be successful as a Maintenance Engineer

• Hold qualifications such as City and Guilds Level 3, BTEC & NVQ Level 3, or be an apprentice as a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
• Experience in direct production line mechanical maintenance
• Experience in pre-planned and reactive industrial production maintenance
