ALPLA UK Limited in Bridgwater is seeking a Maintenance Engineer on a 4 on 4 off days pattern. Starting salary circa £42k (DOE) plus benefits and salary reviews.

You will maintain plant machinery and services to ensure continuous production and join a dynamic, safety-focused team. Responsibilities include daily inspections, quick repairs to minimise downtime, planned maintenance, and modifications to drive continuous improvement.

Formación

• Transferable manufacturing experience is essential
• Minimum NVQ Level 3 quals or equivalent
• Multi skilled experience preferred (Mechanical bias)

• Carry out repair of machinery quickly and efficiently in order to limit production downtime.
• Carry out planned maintenance as per schedules.
• Carry out modification to machinery in order to achieve continuous improvement.
• To ensure that all duties are carried out in accordance with health and safety, quality, hygiene and food safety policies.
• To implement, adhere to and police ALPLA quality, hygiene and food safety policy.

To carry out engineering duties, to ensure all plant machinery and services are fully maintained in order to achieve continuous production.

What makes you great

Education/Experience:

• Transferable manufacturing experience is essential (Plastics, Packaging, FMCG, Food, Beverage, Pharma etc)
• Minimum NVQ Level 3 quals or equivalent
• Multi Skilled experience preferred (Mechanical bias)

• Good organizational skills
• Thorough understanding of technical aspects of different types of equipment
