Job summary

Ruth Wagstaff Recruitment has a great opportunity for a multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a globally operating logistics and automation company at a state-of-the-art distribution centre in Warrington. You will work within a large engineering team delivering hands-on maintenance on an automated system.

We are seeking electrically or mechanically biased engineers with PLC knowledge (Siemens S7) and a background in manufacturing or distribution environments, comfortable with shift patterns

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship trained with Level 3 engineering qualifications.
• Good electrical and mechanical knowledge from a manufacturing or distribution environment.
• Working knowledge of PLC control systems, desirably Siemens S7.
• Experience with automated materials handling systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deliver hands-on engineering to support the logistics system.
• Perform both reactive and planned maintenance on plant and equipment.
• Keep maintenance records up to date using CMMS system.
• Follow safety and repair best practices at all times.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and cost-saving initiatives.

A great opportunity to join a globally operating and successful logistics / automation company as a multi skilled Maintenance Engineer working at a well-known retailers state of the art highly automated distribution centre in Warrington. Seeking either electrically or mechanically biased multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineers to support the large engineering team.

Benefits:

• Salary of c£57k
• 3 on 3 off shift pattern (12 hour days and nights) (6-6)
• 24 Shifts per year holiday
• 6% match Pension
• Bonus and Share schemes (c£4k annually after qualifying period)

Key responsibilities:

• Deliver hands-on engineering to support the logistics system running smoothly
• Perform both reactive and planned maintenance on plant and equipment
• Keep maintenance records up to date using CMMS system
• Follow safety and repair best practices at all times
• Contribute to continuous improvement and cost-saving initiatives

Requirements of Maintenance Engineer:

• Apprenticeship trained, with Level 3 engineering qualifications
• Good level of electrical and mechanical knowledge from a manufacturing or distribution environment
• Working knowledge of PLC control systems, desirably Siemens S7
• Experience of automated materials handling systems would also be an advantage but not essential
• Happy to work a shift pattern with days and nights.
• Ok to work at heights when needed (via harnesses and full training etc)
