Job description

A global Tier 1 Automotive manufacturer in the Telford area is looking for two Multiskilled Maintenance Engineers with an electrical bias.

The ideal candidate will be a hardworking and adaptable Engineer with a strong technical background within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Operating in a fast-paced environment, you will report to the Maintenance Team Leader and provide planned, preventative maintenance expertise along with responses to reactive breakdowns.

This is a fantastic opportunity with a multinational Automotive company that supplies some of the biggest OEMs in the industry.

The maintenance department is currently operating on a Double Days shift pattern.

Role: Maintenance Engineer

Location: Telford

Salary: GBP 43,700 - GBP 48,300

Shift: Double Days (07:00 - 15:00 and 15:00 - 23:00)

The key responsibilities of the Maintenance Engineer role will be:

1. Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs on a variety of machinery and equipment.
2. Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical faults across plant and production equipment.
3. Support continuous improvement initiatives and assist with machine upgrades and installations.
4. Ensure minimal downtime through proactive maintenance and fast response to breakdowns.
5. Maintain accurate maintenance records using the company's CMMS system.
6. Adhere to health and safety regulations and company policies at all times.
7. Work collaboratively with production and engineering teams to maintain high standards of operation.

The Key Requirements of the Maintenance Engineer will be:

• Proven experience in a similar maintenance engineering role within fast-paced manufacturing environments such as Automotive, Food, FMCG, and more.
• Strong knowledge of both electrical and mechanical systems.
• Ability to read technical drawings and fault-find using PLCs (advantageous but not essential).
• Willingness to work double days shifts.
• Experience on Injection Moulding machinery is highly preferred.
