Job summary

Pioneer Selection is seeking a Maintenance Engineer for an established manufacturing site in Kent. The role covers mechanical and electrical maintenance on automated lines, with a Monday–Friday days shift and early finish on Friday to maximise uptime and efficiency.

You will work in a fast-paced FMCG environment with a strong focus on reliability, preventive maintenance and continuous improvement. The company offers a competitive salary up to £45,000 plus benefits.

Qualifications

• Electrical maintenance experience in an industrial manufacturing or FMCG environment.
• Mechanical maintenance experience in an industrial manufacturing or FMCG environment.
• Hands-on experience with pre-planned, reactive and breakdown maintenance in a fast-paced factory.

Responsibilities

• Carry out mechanical and electrical maintenance on automated and semi-automated production machinery.
• Fault-finding and corrective actions to minimise downtime.
• Perform planned preventative maintenance to maximise uptime and efficiency.
• Oversee basic facilities maintenance as required.

Job Title: Maintenance Engineer

Location: Dartford

Salary: £42,000 - £45,000

Shift: Mon - Fri - Days (early finish Friday)

Job Role of the Maintenance Engineer.

We are offering a fantastic opportunity for a Maintenance Engineer to join an established manufacturing site in Kent.

You will be responsible for carrying out both mechanical and electrical maintenance, fault-finding, and planned preventative maintenance on a range of automated and semi-automated production machinery, ensuring maximum uptime and efficiency in a fast-paced FMCG environment.

You will also oversee some basic facilities maintenance

Working on a Monday to Friday days pattern, you will play a key role in reducing downtime, improving reliability, and supporting production performance across the site.

Non-Negotiable Requirements of the Maintenance Engineer

• Electrical maintenance experience within an industrial manufacturing or FMCG environment.. Knowledge of CMMS systems. Mechanical maintenance experience within an industrial manufacturing or FMCG environment
• Hands on experience with pre-planned, reactive and breakdown maintenance in a fast paced industrial factory.
• Ability to work a continental shift pattern

Requirements for the Maintenance Engineer

• Hands-on mechanical fault-finding experience.
• Experience working within a manufacturing environment.
• Electrical maintenance experience (relays, sensors, drives, contactors, single, three phase).

Desirable Requirements for the Maintenance Engineer.

• Experience working as a Maintenance Engineer in the UK.
• Previous experience within FMCG, food, beverage or packaging environments.
