Job summary

Morgan Advanced Materials in Stourport-on-Severn is seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our Technical Ceramics site. This hands-on role maintains and repairs production equipment, supports preventative maintenance, and helps ensure manufacturing operations run safely, efficiently and reliably.

You'll carry out planned and reactive maintenance, diagnose mechanical and electrical faults, and support installation, commissioning and improvements while promoting a strong safety

Qualifications

• Apprentice-trained engineer or equivalent qualification.
• Electrical qualifications up to 17th Edition.
• C&G 236 Level 3 (or equivalent).
• Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic and PLC systems.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to safety, quality and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on production machinery and site facilities.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults.
• Maintain equipment including kilns, grinders, ball mills, compressors, hydraulic, pneumatic and PLC‑controlled systems.
• Support equipment installation, commissioning, and improvements.
• Assist with general facilities maintenance as required.
• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with EHS standards.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to minimise downtime and improve reliability.

Shift Options Available (choose one): Rotating Mornings/Afternoons: Mornings: 6:00am - 2:00pm (Friday: 6:00am - 11:00am) Afternoons: 1:30pm - 9:30pm (Friday: 11:00am - 4:00pm) OR Weekend Days: Friday, Saturday & Sunday 6:00am - 6:00pm

About the Role

About You

Essential:

• Apprentice‑trained engineer or equivalent engineering qualification.
• Mechanical maintenance experience with electrical qualifications to 17th Edition.
• C&G 236 Level 3 (or equivalent).
• Experience working with hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC systems.
• Strong fault‑finding and problem‑solving skills.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork.

Desirable:

• Experience maintaining manufacturing or production machinery.
• Experience working at height (cherry picker licence advantageous).
• Knowledge of health & safety and manual handling requirements.
