Maintenance Engineer

Our client is a leading company within the food industry. Due to a company re-structure and development within the organisation, they are looking for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their expanding team as they grow as a business. If you are mechanically or electrically biased, there are opportunities for you.

Shifts & Benefits Package:

• Shift: 12-hour days and nights rota (2 days/2 nights, 4 days off)
• Benefits: 8% non-contributory pension, 5% bonus, life assurance, healthcare cashback plan

Role & Responsibilities:

• Provide front-line maintenance support to the shift operations team
• Keep machinery working to the designed output efficiency
• Dismantle and re-assemble all production equipment
• Electrical, instrumentation, and mechanical maintenance
• Conduct regular PPM and scheduled maintenance and improvement works

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

• Must be a multi-skilled maintenance engineer (electrical & mechanical)
• Track record of electrical fault finding & ideally knowledge of PLCs
• Exposure to working in a Food/FMCG manufacturing environment
• Self-motivated and able to work in a team
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing practices & continuous improvement mentality
• Must have a recognised apprenticeship to ONC/HNC

Additional Shifts & Benefits:

• Shift: 4 on 4 off, 2 days 2 nights
• Salary: £45,000 – rising to £47,000 after probation + overtime
• Benefits: Private pension, life assurance, 5% bonus
