The Role

SWIFT Temps Ltd Engineering Division is recruiting a skilled Maintenance Engineer for a permanent position across two key manufacturing sites in Grassington and Keighley. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic and growing team within the food and beverage production industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform electrical and mechanical maintenance on machinery such as conveyors, shrink wrappers, chillers, and bottling lines.
• Respond rapidly to breakdowns to minimize production downtime.
• Perform electrical fault finding and repairs (motors, drives, wiring, relays, sensors, etc.).
• Conduct PLC fault diagnosis and support commissioning processes.
• Assist in installation and improvement projects.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM).
• Collaborate closely with the Engineering Manager and wider team.
• Support general repairs and new equipment installation across both sites.

What We're Looking For

• Experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance.
• Knowledge of PLCs, pneumatics, and control systems.
• Welding experience (MIG & TIG) is beneficial.
• Previous maintenance experience in a manufacturing or food production environment.
• Relevant engineering qualifications or apprenticeship.
• Strong fault-finding skills and a proactive, team-oriented attitude.
• Flexibility to travel between Grassington and Keighley sites.

Working Hours & Benefits

• Hours: 4 x 12-hour shifts per week (06:00-18:00), including Saturdays on a rotating basis.
• Holidays: 24 days (based on a 4-day workweek).
• Salary: £47,132 per annum.
