Job summary

Cubiq Recruitment is seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer for night shifts at its Sheffield facility. The role covers planned maintenance, breakdowns and fault finding on high-tech CNC production equipment.

The successful candidate will have a Level 3 engineering apprenticeship or equivalent, strong electrical bias, and experience with PLC/HMI fault finding. The package includes a salary up to £42,000 plus a 30% night shift premium, 37.5 hours, and an early Friday finish.

Qualifications

• Electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic fault finding.
• PLC/HMI fault finding.
• Able to read engineering drawings and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Perform planned maintenance on high-tech CNC equipment and systems.
• Respond to breakdowns and fault find to reduce downtime.
• Diagnose faults across electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic subsystems.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to improve machine reliability and performance.

Up to £42,000 + 30% night shift premium – up to £54,600

22:00–06:15 | 37.5 hours | Early Friday finish

I'm recruiting for a leading global aerospace OEM at its advanced manufacturing facility in Sheffield.

We're looking for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to support a high-tech CNC production environment, covering planned maintenance, breakdowns, fault finding and equipment reliability.

The background we're looking for:

• Multi-skilled maintenance with a strong electrical bias
• CNC or complex production machinery
• Electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic fault finding
• PLC/HMI fault finding
• Able to read engineering drawings and schematics
• Level 3 engineering apprenticeship or equivalent
• Ideally 5+ years' post-apprenticeship experience

FANUC, Siemens and aerospace experience would be useful, but aren't essential.
