Job summary

Pioneer Selection Ltd is helping a large blue chip manufacturing group in the Selby area recruit a qualified Maintenance Engineer. The role involves electrical and mechanical fault-finding, responding to breakdowns, and carrying out planned preventive maintenance to keep site machinery running smoothly.

The Maintenance Engineer will work on a 12-hour day and night shift pattern, with excellent opportunities for training and development within a market-leading business that values engineering

Qualifications

• Multi-skilled maintenance experience within an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on maintenance across planned, reactive and breakdown scenarios.
• Electrical and mechanical fault-finding experience.

Responsibilities

• Respond to breakdowns and faults to minimise downtime.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance on site machinery.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across equipment and processes.
• Contribute to safety and reliability improvements on the production line.

Maintenance Engineer

Location: Selby

Salary: £53,000

Shift: 12 hour Days and Nights

Job Role of the Maintenance Engineer.
An excellent opportunity has become available for a qualified maintenance engineer to work for a large blue chip manufacturing company based near Selby. The Maintenance Engineer will benefit by working for a excellent company who take pride in supporting and developing engineers on a regulary basis. The Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for both electrical and mechanical maintenance, responding to breakdowns, completing planned preventative maintenance, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across site machinery.

Non-Negotiable Requirements of the Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer

• Multi-skilled maintenance experience within an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Hands on experience with pre-planned, reactive and breakdown maintenance in fast paced industrial factory.

Requirements for the Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer

• Electrical and mechanical fault-finding experience.
• Electrical Engineering Qualification
• Experience working within a manufacturing environment.

Desirable Requirements for the Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer

• Experience working as a Maintenance Engineer in the Manufacturing sector
• Experience with working on PLC's, ideally being able to fault find using inputs and outputs
