About the role:Responsible for the general maintenance of the site, ensuring that all plant equipment is installed, maintained, and repaired to a high standard. This role is key to supporting site safety, productivity, and efficiency.As the maintenance Engineer, it will be your responsibility to:- Assisting the Engineering Supervisor and team by carrying out preventative maintenance on tank systems, fluid flow meters, pumps, valves, and pipework. Installation, repair, fabrication.
- Assisting Site Engineers with any repairs and maintenance of specialised hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical equipment.
- Assisting with onsite inspections, maintaining accurate and up-to-date maintenance records, log, and reports which must comply with industry requirements.
- Complying with health, safety, and environmental working practices and regulations on site.
- Assist with any routine daily operations whilst working to site safety standards.
- Assist in root cause analysis of equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance plant reliability and efficiency.
- Assisting with shipping discharge duties should the need arise.
Your skills & Experience:- Proven experience in a maintenance engineering role within a chemical, process, or similar industrial environment.
- Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and record-keeping skills.
- Knowledge of safety practices in hazardous environments (e.g., COMAH regulations) is advantageous.
- GCSE qualifications in Maths, English, and Science in Grade C or above
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
