Job summary

Magnet Recruit Limited is seeking a Maintenance Engineer (Electrical or Mechanical) for a busy FMCG facility in Preston. The role operates on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern, days and nights, with significant recent site investment in machinery and refurbishments.

The position requires an L3 or equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical engineering, experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, and familiarity with packaging machinery.

Qualifications

• L3 or equivalent in Mechanical or electrical engineering.
• Experience in a busy Food Manufacturing / FMCG environment.
• Experience with different Packaging machinery is beneficial.
• PLC experience is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Maintain electrical and mechanical systems on a FMCG production site.
• Troubleshoot and repair packaging machinery to minimize downtime.
• Participate in preventative maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives.

Magnet Recruit is working with a leading name within the Food manufacutring / FMCG sector. This organisation has invested heavily into its facility over the past 4/5 years, including over £50m worth of investment into new machinery and refurbishments across site.

We are looking at adding an electrical and a mechanical engineer to the team. With a dedicated L&D team on-site, your personal and professional development is seen and heard on day 1.

About you?

• L3 or equivalent in Mechanical or electrical engineering
• Previous experience within a busy Food Manufacturing / FMCG environment / Beverage
• Experienced working with different Packaging machinery would be beneficial
• PLC experience is advantageous but not a neccesity
