Role:

Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Salary:

£40,000 to £42,000 per annum, plus benefits and further up-skilling & training opportunities to excel as an engineer

Shifts:

4 on 4 off 12-hour shifts, rotation of days and nights

Location:

Torquay Area. Commutable from Exeter, Plymouth, Totnes, Okehampton, Moretonhampstead, Dartmouth, Farringdon, Exmouth, and surrounding areas

We are seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Either Bias) to work within a fast-paced production environment where much of the machinery is large and often automated.

You will benefit from working as part of a friendly team of Maintenance Engineers, focusing on planned preventative maintenance and responding to electrical and mechanical breakdowns. Opportunities for career progression and further qualifications are available within this company.

Responsibilities:

The Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer will perform both electrical and mechanical maintenance across the factory, providing quick responses to breakdowns and conducting planned preventative maintenance.

Requirements:

• Experience as a Maintenance Engineer in a production or manufacturing environment is preferred, but candidates with a strong attitude towards learning from diverse backgrounds such as motor vehicles, Armed Forces, industrial, manufacturing, or automation will be considered.
• Completed a recognized engineering apprenticeship or hold an engineering qualification at NVQ/C&G Level 3 or above.
• Knowledge or experience with motors, belts, bearings, chains, gears, pumps, boilers, sensors, inverters, relays, contactors, 3-phase systems, PLCs, pneumatics, hydraulics, etc.
• Good fault-finding skills.
• Friendly, adaptable, and proactive work attitude.
• Keen to get hands dirty and work effectively as part of a team.
