Qualifications

Job description

We are looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join the Frontier team, based at Ruddington, on a permanent, full-time basis.

The successful candidate will be responsible for all maintenance of the plant, assisting in the operations of the site to meet commercial requirements whilst maximising efficiency and upholding quality, health, safety, and environmental standards.

You will ideally have experience within a heavy plant industry, with skills in fault-finding and repairing pneumatic systems, hydraulics, overhead cranes, elevators, gearboxes, sensors, and/or conveyors.

About You

  • Experience in agriculture is desirable but not essential
  • Experience working on heavy mechanical plant, including chain bucket elevators and drag chain conveyors
  • Experience with motors (3-phase) and gearboxes
  • Qualified to work with electrics up to 415 volts (18th Edition desirable)
  • Able to work outdoors, at heights, and in confined spaces
  • Adaptable, able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Able to work cooperatively and independently as needed

Your Role

As a Maintenance Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

  • Fault diagnosis and repair of mechanical and electrical systems
  • Following safe working practices and completing risk assessments
  • Identifying root causes and resolving issues
  • Completing Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) tasks as scheduled
  • Managing maintenance spares and liaising with suppliers
  • Performing routine maintenance, repairs, fabrication, and troubleshooting on production equipment
  • Working flexibly with production staff
  • Assisting external contractors with installations and servicing
  • Maintaining awareness of safety hazards at all times
