Northumberland site in the North East of England is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Engineer with strong mechanical fault-finding skills to support reliability of heavy production equipment on a day shift.

In a busy industrial environment you will carry out reactive repairs and planned maintenance, with basic electrical fault-finding skills advantageous, and work closely with a small, dedicated maintenance team to minimise downtime and keep production running smoothly.

As our MaintenanceEngineer, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day reliability andperformance of machinery across site. Working in a heavy industrialmanufacturing environment, you will carry out both reactive breakdown repairsand planned preventative maintenance, helping to minimise downtime and keepproduction running efficiently.

This is a broad,practical maintenance role that would suit either a Mechanical MaintenanceEngineer with some electrical experience, or a Multi‑Skilled Engineer with aclear mechanical bias. You will be working on heavy machinery and productionequipment, so the ability to fault find mechanically is essential, with basicelectrical fault-finding ability seen as a clear advantage.

KEYRESPONSIBILITIES:

• Carryout reactive maintenance and breakdown repairs on production machinery and siteequipment

PERSONSPECIFICATION:

We are open tocandidates from either a mechanical maintenance background or a multi-skilledmaintenance background, provided you have strong mechanical skills and arecomfortable working in a heavy industrial setting.

Weare particularly interested in candidates who have:

• Previousmaintenance experience within manufacturing, industrial, production or heavymachinery environments
• Strongmechanical maintenance and fault-finding ability
• Experiencecarrying out both reactive maintenance and PPM work
• Basicelectrical fault-finding skills, or the confidence to support basic electricaldiagnostics
• Apractical, hands-on approach and a strong sense of ownership
• Theability to work well as part of a small, established team
• Areliable, safety-conscious attitude

It would also bebeneficial, although not essential, if you have:

• Amechanical maintenance background with some electrical knowledge
• Amulti-skilled background with a clear mechanical bias
