Job summary

Iconic Hotels & Resorts seeks a Maintenance Assistant for Chewton Glen, a luxury hotel in New Milton. You will support the Maintenance Manager daily to uphold the venue’s high standards of upkeep across facilities.

Experience in hotel maintenance and large properties is desirable; you should be detail-oriented and capable of clear communication with the team. On-call duties may be required to ensure issues are resolved promptly.

Qualifications

• Experience in hotel maintenance is desirable.
• Experience in large properties is desirable.
• A keen eye for detail and the ability to communicate with the team.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership in responding to emergency calls for maintenance from all departments.
• Ensure all priority maintenance jobs are completed.
• Show teamwork and flexibility to respond to changes in priorities at short notice.
• Ensure that appliances, fixtures and fittings are safe and compliant with health and safety regulations; report faults.
• Be on call on a rota basis if required.
• Ensure staff understand and follow company privacy, confidentiality and data protection policies.

Maintenance Assistant – About you

• Experience in hotel maintenance is desirable
• Experience in large properties is desirable
• You will have a keen eye for detail, organisational skills and confident in communicating with the team

Aim of the Maintenance Assistant role

To assist the Maintenance Manager on a day to day basis to assist with the high standards of maintenance within the hotel

Key responsibilities of the Maintenance Assistant role

• Take ownership in responding to emergency calls for maintenance from all departments.
• Be confident in ensuring all priority maintenance jobs are completed
• To show team work and flexibility in being able to respond to changes in job priorities at short notice.
• To be confident in ensuring that all appliances, fixtures and fittings are safe and work in accordance with Health & Safety regulations and report any faults to the Maintenance Manager
• To be on call on a rota basis if required
• All staff should beconfidentin understanding and executing the company's policies and procedures with respect to privacy, confidentiality and data protection.
