ATA Recruitment Ltd in Leyland, Lancashire, is recruiting a Maintenance Engineer for a leading UK pizza manufacturer. You’ll perform PPMs and reactive maintenance on plant and packaging machinery, including mixers, ovens and chillers, in a fast-paced site.

The role is 42 hours per week with night shifts (18:45–07:00). Overtime paid at 1.5x; pension matched at 6%; holiday entitlement of 23.5 shifts. NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds in engineering preferred; multi-skilled applicants encouraged.

Competenze

Maintenance Engineer £58,000 - £61,000, Leyland, Lancashire, Perm NIGHTS (18:45 – 07:00) – 42 average hours a week.

Overtime available at X1.5, holiday equivalent to 23.5 shifts off, 6% matched pension.

The Opportunity

We are recruiting for aMaintenance Engineer to join one of the leading Pizza manufacturers in the UK. That supply to all the major retailers across the country. You’ll be implemented into a team of 40 Engineers, conducting PPMs and reactive maintenance across all machinery. The site is very fast paced, depending on demand, 800,000 units are produced a day. Production at this site is ran for 17 hours a day.

The Role

As amaintenance engineer, you’ll work with a range of machinery including:

• Large mixers, proofers, ovens and chillers
• Depositors, check weighers and packaging machines

Your focus will be80% reactiveand20% PPM, using a tablet system for job tracking. Most PPMs are scheduled at night and on weekends. This role places a strong emphasis on maintenance and repair. They are open to single skilled applicants, but the preference is multi-skilled. You’ll need to be confident working with pneumatics, gearboxes, bearings, shafts, chains, sensors, and control panels etc. Experience fault finding via PLC is also needed.

The Person We’re Looking For

To succeed in this role as amaintenance engineer, you’ll need:

• A strong background in maintenance within manufacturing environments – preferably from the food industry
• Experience working on both mechanical and electrical components whilst abiding to H&S regulations
• Confidence with strip-downs, rebuilds, and reactive maintenance
• An NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent qualification in engineering
• A proactive attitude and hard worker who can deal with a fast-paced production environment
