Job summary

ETS Consulting Ltd in Leicester is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to cover a 4 on 4 off days/nights shift. The role focuses on electrical and mechanical maintenance, plC-driven automation, and sustained machine efficiency within a high-speed environment.

You will diagnose faults, repair diverse automated equipment, and manage water treatment and boiler systems. A full apprenticeship in electrical or mechanical engineering is required, with exposure to PPM schedules and project work.

Qualifications

• Apprentice Trained Engineer in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience of PLC systems & Automated machinery.
• Understanding of PPM systems.

Responsibilities

• Carry out day-to-day electrical and mechanical maintenance to high standards and maximise machine efficiencies.
• Fault diagnostics and repair of automated machines and processes (batch washers, presses, conveyors, dryers, ironers, folders, stackers, shrink wrap).
• Maintain water filtration and boiler softening plant as well as boilers themselves.
• Undertake planned maintenance (PPM) tasks and project works.

The Roles

The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of day-to-day electrical and mechanical engineering and maintenance activities ensuring work is carried out to the highest standards and maximising machine efficiencies. You will have served a minimum of a full apprenticeship in electrical or mechanical engineering and have experience working within planned and preventative maintenance schedules, project based work within a high speed automated environment.

On a day to day basis, you will be responsible for fault diagnostics and repair of a wide variety of automated machines and processes including industrial batch washers, presses, conveyor systems, dryers, ironers, folders, stackers and shrink wrap machines. They will also be responsible for the upkeep of the water filtration and boiler softening plant as well as the boilers themselves. This job also involves various PPM tasks and project works. There is a huge amount of training on offer, so the successful candidate will be in line to broaden their skills considerably.
