Resourcing Group are recruiting a Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical Fitter or Electrical) to join a large production site near Kendal. You will cover electro-mechanical maintenance, be proactive in breakdown resolution and contribute to planned maintenance to keep lines running smoothly.

The role offers training and development opportunities across sites in the region and beyond, with a supportive team culture and a path to progression.

Qualifications

  • Maintenance or Service Engineer background in industrial/manufacturing environments.
  • Experience with electro-mechanical systems including motors, belts, bearings, pumps.
  • Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a close-knit team.

Responsibilities

  • Cover electro-mechanical maintenance across the factory.
  • Resolve breakdowns and machinery problems.
  • Undertake planned preventative maintenance and project work such as new installations.

Role: Maintenance Engineer

Salary:£36,000-£40,000, plus Paid Overtime, Benefits and Career opportunities

Hours:Monday to Friday, rotating shifts of days and afternoons: 0500-1330, 0930-1800, 1530-0000

Location: Commutable from Kendal, Shap, Penrith, Helbeck, Garsdale, Settle, Bentham, Lancaster, Morecambe, Bowness-on-Windermere, Grasmere and surrounding areas

We are currently recruiting a Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical Fitter or Electrical) to work within a large company at one of their successful production factories near Kendal. Responsibilities

Maintenance Engineers get the opportunity to cover both electro-mechanical maintenance work across the factory and you are encouraged and supported to develop your weaker side, whether this be mechanical or electrical.

Your main and primary role is supporting all production machinery. This includes combating and resolving breakdowns and machinery problems. Also working through planned preventative maintenance and undertaking project work too such as new installations etc.

Requirements

Maintenance or Service Engineer background in any environment, ideally industrial, manufacturing, production or automated etc.

Have good maintenance and troubleshooting skills across some of the following; motors, belts, bearings, chains, gears, pumps, boilers, sensors, inverters, relays, contactors, 3 phase, PLCs, pneumatics, hydraulics, steam systems etc.

Good troubleshooting & fault-finding skills.

Friendly and adaptable with the ability to work well as part of a close-knit team

Proactive, self-starter work attitude and can be flexible and able to give & take on start & finish times when necessary.

Ensure all activities are carried out in accordance with the Site Health and Safety instructions and the Health and Safety manual & relevant engineering standards.
