Job summary

TipTopJob in Halstead, Essex is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a leading industrial manufacturer. You will manage planned and reactive maintenance and overhaul projects to keep production running smoothly.

Working in a small team, you may do extra hours and one in two Saturdays paid as overtime. A strong mechanical background, drive, and readiness for a dirty, dusty environment are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Must be a mechanically biased engineer / plant fitter.
• Experience in a small team where everyone does extra hours to get the job done.
• Team fit is important; be prepared to go the extra mile.
• Comfortable working in a dusty, dirty, wet and messy environment.
• Must have worked in a heavier industrial sector.
• Basic fabrication and fitting skills would be beneficial.
• Experience fixing plant machinery, production and fleet equipment.
• Hold mechanical engineering qualifications.
• Must be able to drive due to site location: no public transport access.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all planned, reactive maintenance and project overhaul work.
• Working in a small team of engineers, working extra hours to help out when needed.
• Repairing production machinery, conveyors, industrial plant equipment, cranes, fleet vehicles.
• Dealing with repairs on gearboxes, drives, pneumatics, bearings, shafts, motors, valves, hoses.
• Basic electrical fault finding on 3:phase motors, VFDs, industrial controls.
• Mechanical fabrication and fitting

Role And Responsibilities As a Maintenance Engineer
