NTT Ltd. is seeking a Critical Facilities Maintenance Day Engineer (Mechanical or Electrical) for our LON1 site in Dagenham. You will plan, manage and deliver facilities maintenance to ensure Data Center operations remain at peak performance Monday to Friday.

You will diagnose faults, monitor BMS alarms, coordinate with vendors, and maintain documentation. The role requires NVQ3 or equivalent, 2–5 years in data centers, and strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Formación

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in electrical, mechanical or building services, or recognized apprenticeship.
• Minimum 2–5 years of trade experience in a data centre or critical environment.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems including generators, switchgear, chillers and HVAC.
• Experience in creating SOP/EOP documentation and related processes.
• Experience in working safely within business-critical environments.

Responsabilidades

• Provide preventative and reactive maintenance aligning with SLAs and PPM schedules.
• Monitor BMS/SCADA systems and diagnose faults to identify root causes.
• Assist incident management and technical investigations for RCA.
• Support shift engineering teams in critical service operations.
• Maintain accurate logs, reports and system documentation.
• Coordinate with third-party vendors and contractors while ensuring safety compliance.

What we are looking for As the Critical Facilities Maintenance (CFM) Day Engineer Mechanical or Electrical, you will plan, manage and implement the delivery of Facilities Maintenance services to our Data Centers ensuring operational performance is always maintained to the highest possible standards. Provide engineering services and guidance in general on property matters affecting the on-going management and development of the Data Centers. The role is full time Monday to Friday based at our LON1 site in Dagenham.

What you will do

• Providing a customer focused service and a high standard of planned preventative and reactive maintenance to ensure timely completion of PPMs and reactive work to SLAs
• Accurately recording and reporting of maintenance activities including identifying faults and accurately diagnosing root causes
• Monitoring BMS alarms and maintaining equipment performance to ensure correct operation of the critical services of the Data Centers
• Assisting with incident management and subsequent technical investigations to establish root cause
• Supporting the Shift Engineering Teams to ensure correct operation of the critical services of the Data Centers
• Maintain accurate records, including logs, reports, system documentation.
• Coordinate with third-party vendors and contractors for maintenance, repairs and installations ensuring compliance with company safety standards.
• Utilization of relevant NTT data operational digital platforms

Your profile

• Experience in facilities, operations or engineering; in a Data Centre critical environment
• Working knowledge and understanding of engineering operations within Business-Critical Environments
• Creating and developing SOP and EOP documentation and other related/similar processes
• A good understanding of BMS/SCADA monitoring systems
• Ability to discuss and understand technical problems and resolutions with engineering specialists.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize
• Good analytical/ problem solving skills
• The ability to communicate effectively at all levels with good relationship building skills
• Self-motivated and keen to develop, with a willingness and desire to learn
• Clean full driving license valid for use in the UK
• To undergo full security checks to BS7858:

Essential qualifications and skills

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent (including recognized apprenticeship) with either an electrical or mechanical or building services.
• Minimum of 2-5 years trade experience.
• Intermediate level of computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Strong Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, including generators, switchgear, chillers, HVAC
• Preferable qualifications relevant to the role:Experience in a Data Centre or a related critical infrastructure industry
