Job summary

ISS UK Limited is seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer for our London headquarters to deliver planned and reactive maintenance in a prestigious corporate environment. You will report to the Engineering Manager and help maintain a safe, compliant and efficient workplace.

The role involves electrical or mechanical qualifications, serving in a supportive team with opportunities for progression to Lead Engineer and exposure to contract performance objectives.

Qualifications

• Electrical or mechanical qualification (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent).
• Strong maintenance experience within facilities management or building services.
• Strong fault-finding and maintenance experience within commercial buildings.
• Experience carrying out both reactive and planned maintenance tasks.
• Good understanding of health and safety procedures, risk assessments and safe systems of work.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across site.
• Respond to reactive maintenance tasks including electrical, mechanical, plumbing and minor fabric repairs.
• Complete routine site inspections and asset monitoring.
• Supervise and coordinate specialist subcontractors on site.
• Support compliance activities and maintain statutory documentation.
• Undertake fault finding, problem solving and continuous improvement tasks.
• Complete risk assessments and follow health and safety procedures.
• Provide updates to stakeholders and support contract performance objectives.
