This Maintenance Engineer position offers an exciting opportunity to join a well-known manufacturing company in Normanton, West Yorkshire. The role provides an exceptional package including a 3% annual bonus, 33 days holiday, and up to 6 weeks of full sick pay. The work schedule is a 4 on, 2 off rotating shift pattern (05:30am – 14:30pm & 14:15pm – 22:30pm).

Roles and Responsibilities as a Maintenance Engineer:

• Perform reactive and preventative maintenance on all production machinery.
• Participate in projects such as PPM, Continuous Improvement, and New Machinery Installations alongside engineering colleagues.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical faults, machine emergencies, and unplanned problems to minimize downtime.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including schedules, repairs, and spare parts inventory.
• Develop and update Standard Operating Procedures for each machine.
• Follow health and safety guidelines and ensure compliance with company policies.

Candidate Requirements:

• Hold qualifications such as City and Guilds Level 3, NVQ Level 3, or BTEC (Apprenticeship) in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience in dealing with electrical and mechanical breakdowns on FMCG production machinery.
• Experience in sectors like Food, Drink, Packaging, Print, Warehouse, Pharmaceutical, or other FMCG environments.
• Job titles such as Maintenance Engineer, Multi Skilled Engineer, Shift Engineer, or Maintenance Electrician are relevant.
