Job summary

Pioneer Selection Ltd is seeking a Maintenance Engineer for a fast-paced logistics environment. You will maintain conveyors, automated systems and material handling equipment to keep operations running smoothly.

The role requires an electrical or mechanical maintenance background, experience in industrial settings, and an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent. You will work on reactive and preventive maintenance with a focus on reliability and safety.

Qualifications

• Strong electrical or mechanical maintenance background is required.
• Experience in fast-paced industrial environments such as logistics, FMCG or manufacturing.
• Engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
• Ability to fault find under pressure and work independently.

Job Title: Maintenance Engineer

Salary: £50,000 - 53,000

Sector: Logistics / Distribution

As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be working within a fast-paced logistics and distribution environment, ensuring that all machinery and equipment are operating efficiently and safely. You will be responsible for both reactive and planned maintenance across a variety of automated systems, conveyors, and material handling equipment.

You will play a key role in minimising downtime, improving reliability, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the site. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing business with strong investment in automation and engineering.

Non-Negotiable Requirements

• Strong electrical or mechanical maintenance background
• Experience working in a fast-paced industrial environment (logistics, FMCG, manufacturing or similar)
• Engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
• Ability to fault find under pressure and work independently

Requirements for the Maintenance Engineer

• Experience with conveyors, automated systems or material handling equipment
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
