Job summary

ATA Recruitment is recruiting a Maintenance Engineer for a market-leading Leicester facility. You will maintain automated production equipment, conveyors, presses, and robotics while working within a large, supportive engineering team.

You’ll gain Siemens PLC and robotics experience, with industry-leading OEM training and ample progression opportunities. The role follows a 5 on 5 off and 4 on 4 off days/nights pattern and offers premium overtime and a strong total package.

Qualifications

• Essential: Engineering qualification at Level 3 or above (Electrical, Mechanical or Multi-Skilled).
• Experience in maintenance engineering within manufacturing/industrial environments.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work 5 on 5 off and 4 on 4 off days/nights.

Responsibilities

• Respond to equipment breakdowns and fault-finding.
• Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM).
• Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults.
• Work on 3-phase systems, motors, sensors and control equipment.
• Support continuous improvement and reliability projects.
• Contribute to safe and efficient site operations.

Location: Leicester

Salary: £57,500 Basic + OTE £65,000+

Shift Pattern: 5 on 5 off and 4 on 4 off Suez Shifts (Days & Nights)

What You'll Be Doing

As a Maintenance Engineer, you'll play a key role in ensuring the reliability and performance of a wide range of automated production equipment, including:

• Automated production machinery
• Conveyors and material handling systems
• Presses and manufacturing equipment
• Robotics and automated systems
• Electrical and mechanical plant equipment

Key responsibilities include:

• Ability to work a 5 on 5 off and 4 on 4 off days and nights shift pattern
