Job summary

Fairfax Meadow, part of Sysco GB, Derby site, is looking for a Maintenance Engineer to keep equipment running through routine maintenance and repairs. The role follows a 16:00–01:00 shift, Monday to Friday, and requires hands-on engineering experience with a proactive approach to problem-solving.

You will work with a supportive team and have access to ongoing training and staff discounts; the business offers a pension, generous holiday and health cash plan as part of the rewards package.

Qualifications

• Engineering experience is essential; qualifications are an advantage.
• Attention to detail, good communication and problem-solving are required.
• Ability to build relationships across all levels; experience in a similar role preferred.

• Minimise breakdowns and ensure fixtures and machinery meet standards.

A satisfying role As a Maintenance Engineer, you will need to have relevant engineering experience, together with qualifications is an advantage. It'll be your engineering ability, positive attitude and problem-solving skills that helps to keep the operation moving on a daily basis. This role will ensure breakdowns are kept to a minimum, and that all fixtures, fittings and equipment are maintained to an agreed standard. What you bring to the mix A naturally organised person who, prides themselves on their attention to
detail, you have everything it takes to succeed with Fairfax Meadow: A positive attitude and self-motivated. Good communications skills and confidence to communicate professionally. Problem-solving skills and the confidence to communicate any issues. The ability to build relationships with all levels of people. Ideally, experience in a similar role.
