Job summary

Gi Group Holdings Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join the engineering team at a busy site. The role focuses on maintaining plant performance, supporting continuous improvement and ensuring machinery operates safely and efficiently.

You will carry out planned maintenance and provide rapid electrical support for breakdowns across the site, while contributing to IMS/CMMS implementations and TPM-driven improvements.

Qualifications

• Recognised engineering apprenticeship or Level 3 electrical qualification.
• Strong fault finding and diagnostic skills on industrial plant and equipment.
• Experience Reading, drawing and reading electrical diagrams.
• Competence in replacing and programming frequency inverters, motor controls and safety circuits.
• A high level of health and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned maintenance and complete essential repairs to keep the factory operating effectively.
• Provide electrical maintenance cover with fast and efficient response to plant breakdowns across the site.
• Support ongoing process improvement by developing new ideas and better solutions.
• Communicate clearly with colleagues and production teams to help diagnose and resolve faults quickly.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of IMS and CMMS systems.
• Apply TPM tools and techniques to drive continuous improvement throughout the factory.
• Maintain world class housekeeping standards using 5S principles.
• Report to the Engineering Team Leader and ensure all maintenance tasks are completed to a high standard.
