Job summary

Nicholas Associates is seeking a Maintenance Engineer (Electrical) for a day shift role in a manufacturing environment near Alsager, UK. You will work on automated plant machinery, performing maintenance, servicing and repairs to minimise downtime.

The ideal candidate will be time-served or apprentice-trained, with electrical bias and multi-skilled capabilities; hydraulics knowledge is a plus. Commutable from Alsager and surrounding areas is expected.

Qualifications

• Must have time-served or apprentice-trained background in maintenance.
• Experience in manufacturing/production maintenance is essential.
• Electrical bias with exposure to hydraulic machinery is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• To maintain, service and repair automated plant machinery to minimise production downtime.
• Provide technical support on projects, installations and breakdowns.

Job Title: Maintenance Engineer - Electrical - day shift
Industry: Manufacturing
Location: Nead Alsager
Pay: £50,000 to £52,237 DOE + OT = earnings of £60,000 and upwards achievable
Shift: DAYS ONLY
Panama Shift (Days Only - 12 hrs): 2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on, 3 days off (6.00am to 6.00pm and 11.00am to 11.00pm - rotation discussed at interview)
Overtime: x1.5 Mon-Sat and x2 on Sundays
Holidays: 22 shifts.

Overview:

We now require a Maintenance Engineer to join the engineering team. Working for a manufacturing business that has sites across the globe you will be working in a multi-skilled role. Both electrical and mechanical engineers are considered, however electrical skills will be required for the role.

Key responsibilities of the Maintenance Engineer role:

• To maintain, service and repair all automated plant machinery to minimise production down time.
• Provide technical support on all projects, installations and breakdowns.

Ideal candidate / Maintenance Engineer may have some of the following

• Time served, apprentice trained or above
• Previous experience working in a maintenance focused role within a manufacturing/production environment or similar.
• Electrically biased / multi-skilled
• Experienced working with hydraulic focused machinery beneficial

Commutable from:

Middlewich, Crewe, Nantwich, Sandbach, Winsford, Alsager, Kidsgrove and surrounding areas.
