Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking an experienced Electrician/Electrical Engineer to perform planned and reactive maintenance across our contract. You will inspect, test, repair, and keep building-services systems safe and operational, with on-call duties outside normal hours.

You will work with the Site Supervisor to deliver tasks safely, efficiently, and within SLAs. The role requires strong fault-finding, regulatory compliance, and excellent customer service with a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an Electrical Engineer or Maintenance Engineer in a commercial building-services environment.
• A recognised electrical qualification such as NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds equivalent.
• A current BS 7671 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification.
• Experience completing planned and reactive maintenance on electrical systems.
• Practical knowledge of electrical distribution, lighting, emergency lighting, small power and control systems.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive electrical repairs within SLAs and KPIs.
• Maintain, inspect and repair electrical building-services equipment and wiring.
• Diagnose faults and complete repairs, part replacements and remedial works.
• Conduct electrical testing and inspection within your qualifications.
• Complete routine checks of emergency lighting and safety systems as required.
• Attend on-call rota and respond to out-of-hours maintenance issues.
• Ensure work complies with electrical regs, health and safety requirements and site procedures.
