Job summary

Sodexo at Catalent, Blagrove, Swindon, is seeking a Maintenance Electrician to join the Technical Services team. In this role you’ll perform planned, preventative and reactive electrical maintenance across a pharmaceutical and manufacturing site, contributing to safe, reliable operations.

The position offers a Monday–Friday pattern (08:00–16:00), 37.5 hours per week, and a salary of £22.18 per hour (£43,251 per year), with Sodexo’s benefits package and opportunities for career development.

Qualifications

• You’ll be a qualified Electrician with experience in facilities maintenance, building services or industrial environments.
• City & Guilds Level 3 Electrical Installation or an equivalent recognised qualification.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
• Inspection and Testing qualification (2391, 2395 or equivalent).
• Previous experience in electrical maintenance, facilities management, industrial or commercial environments.
• Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• A good understanding of electrical safety, compliance and safe systems of work.
• Additional qualifications such as PAT Testing, ECS Gold Card or IPAF would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out planned and preventative electrical maintenance to keep site systems and equipment operating safely and efficiently.
• Responding to reactive maintenance requests, diagnosing faults and completing electrical repairs.
• Undertaking electrical inspections, testing and fault-finding.
• Maintaining electrical systems, plant and associated building services.
• Supporting wider mechanical and building maintenance activities when required.
• Working with external contractors and specialist engineers to ensure maintenance work is completed safely and effectively.
• Identifying potential issues before they become bigger problems and helping to minimise operational disruption.
• Keeping accurate maintenance records and ensuring all work meets relevant safety standards and site procedures.
