Job summary

Rise Technical Recruitment is seeking a Maintenance Electrician for a days-based role in Reading, offering a better work-life balance and a structured, less pressured environment. You will handle electrical maintenance, fault finding and installation across a varied estate of academic and commercial buildings.

Working hours are 8:00am-4:00pm Monday to Friday. The package includes 42 days holiday, an excellent pension, overtime, call-out payments, funded training and clear progression

Qualifications

• NVQ level 3 in electrical installation or equivalent required.
• AM2 and 18th Edition knowledge preferred.
• Experience in electrical maintenance and fault finding essential.

The Role:

• Days-based role working 8:00am-4:00pm, Monday to Friday
• Carrying out electrical maintenance, fault finding and repair
• Working on power, lighting and associated electrical systems
• Supporting planned preventative maintenance and reactive works
• Electrical installation work across a varied estate
• Working across multiple campuses and buildings
• Using CAFM systems to record work and manage tasks
• Liaising with contractors and internal stakeholders
• Supporting apprentices and junior team members
• Taking part in the call-out rota with additional earnings

The Person:

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent
• AM2
• 18th Edition
• Experience in electrical maintenance, fault finding and installation
• Strong knowledge of safe working practices and compliance
• Full UK driving licence

The salary advertised is the bracket available for this position. The actual salary paid will be dependent on your level of experience, qualifications and skill set and will be decided by our client, the employer.
