Job summary

Babcock International is seeking a Maintenance Electrician for HM Naval Base Clyde near Helensburgh, Argyll and Bute. This full-time, permanent role involves maintaining critical electrical systems, performing preventative maintenance, fault finding and repairs to keep facilities safe and operational.

The successful candidate will join an estates maintenance team, follow COSHH and safety procedures, and hold SVQ Level 3 in Electrical Fitting or equivalent. A UK security check (SC) is required.

Qualifications

• SVQ Level 3 in Electrical Fitting or equivalent qualification.
• Experience in industrial/defence environments preferred.
• Ability to follow COSHH and health & safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance to maximise equipment availability.
• Identify, diagnose and rectify electrical system defects and faults.
• Repair and maintain electrical installations, including lighting and sockets.
• Work in accordance with health and safety legislation and site procedures.
• Support continuous improvement to enhance processes and operations.
