Nine Twenty Engineering & Manufacturing are continuing their partnership with a leading process manufacturing client on the Isle of Skye, supporting the recruitment of a Maintenance Electrician to join their high-performing, multi-skilled engineering team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a cutting-edge process facility, incorporating robotics, PLCs, and automated machinery - ideal for someone with solid electrical training but who can bring with them some hands on mechanical knowledge.

The Role:

• Perform scheduled, planned and reactive maintenance tasks to minimise downtime and ensure plant efficiency.
• Carry out fault diagnosis on machinery, control systems, and automation equipment — acting quickly and safely, sometimes as a lone worker.
• Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and organisation in engineering workshops and shared areas.
• Always adhere to site safety, environmental and operational procedures, leaving work areas in an equal or better state than found.
• Support the development of engineering documentation, including SOPs, safe systems of work, and maintenance reports — highlighting improvements where needed.
• Actively contribute to the site’s continuous improvement and quality culture by bringing forward ideas and helping implement long-term solutions.

Experienced required:

• Time-served Electrician or equivalent recognised electrical qualification.
• Comfortable working within a high-volume, automated manufacturing environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A proactive, tidy, and safety-conscious approach to maintenance and record-keeping.
