Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust is hiring a Maintenance Electrician (Band 4) at Prestwich Hospital. This permanent, full-time role (37.5 hours) covers planned, reactive and emergency electrical maintenance with a salary of £28,392 - £31,157 plus RRP and potential overtime.

You will diagnose and repair faults across LV systems, lighting, HTMs, fire detection, building management controls, standby generators, CCTV and security systems within a busy healthcare environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience in healthcare, public sector or similarly regulated environments.
  • City & Guilds NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Electrotechnical Technology required.
  • Ability to interpret electrical drawings and technical manuals.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnosis and repair of faults on LV electrical systems and distribution.
  • Maintenance of lighting, fire detection and building management controls.
  • Oversee standby generator plant, CCTV, nurse call and access systems.

Job overview

To provide Electrical Engineering skills covering planned, reactive and emergency maintenance of electrical systems. Providing support within the maintenance team in the day-to-day provision of maintenance services ensuring that it fulfils its function effectively, economically and efficiently within legislation and guidance standards. We are looking for a fully skilled and qualified Electrical tradesperson to join our team based at Prestwich hospital with a salary of £28,392 - £31,157 with an additional retention and recruitment premia (RRP)reviewed per annum, there will also be the opportunity for overtime and callout payments.

Main duties of the job

Responsible for diagnosis and repair of faults on a wide range of plant and equipment covering LV electrical systems, electrical distribution, lighting, fire detection, building management control systems, standby generator plant, security access control systems, intruder alarm systems, CCTV equipment, nurse call systems and staff attack systems.
