Maintenance Electrician

The Engineering department at Guy's Hospital are seeking for a Maintenance Electrician to join our team. We are looking for experienced people with the relevant qualifications in engineering who are able to manage and balance competing priorities.

They should have knowledge of current relevant legislation, health and safety and good working practices.

Closing Date: 30 June 2025- at Midnight

Proposed Interview Date: 9 July 2025

Main duties of the job

The role will carry out planned preventative maintenance to our plant and infrastructure as well as reactive repairs. To do this, you will work alongside a large team and will be guided by the team manager.

The post holder will need to be proactive, self-motivated, and enthusiastic, with the ability to work with the general public.

Person Specification
Qualifications
  • Recognised full apprenticeship in relevant trade / NVQ level 3 / BTEC national certificate or equivalent training.
  • Demonstrable experience working within this trade. 18th edition.
  • Certified person (CP) in their current trade or associated trade.
Experience
  • Experience of working on LV power and lighting circuits both install and fault finding.
  • Able to communicate technical information to specialist and non-specialists.
  • Has experience in health and safety.
  • Experience of using Key Performance Indicators.
Knowledge and Ability
  • Excellent oral and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of other trades and ability to work with them.
  • Ability to evaluate the needs of other colleagues.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word / Excel and Power point.
