Job summary

Page Personnel in Glossop, England is seeking an experienced Maintenance Electrician to support a heavy engineering environment. You will help develop and implement electrical maintenance plans, diagnose faults on industrial equipment and plan maintenance around production schedules.

The successful candidate will have an HNC or equivalent, be able to read electrical drawings, and maintain accurate maintenance records. The role offers a competitive salary, pension and benefits.

Job Description

As the Maintenance Electrician you will be tasked with the following.

• Assisting with the development of PPM systems and the forward scheduling of maintenance activities
• Operational tasks to comply with legislation and company procedures
• Fault diagnosis, repair and maintenance in a steel work / heavy engineering environment
• Applicant conversant in general machine wiring and installation, including temperature control and lighting
• Planning and scheduling planned and unplanned work
• Liaise with client departments
• Control maintenance tools, stores and equipment
• Monitor maintenance costs
• Improve production facilities
• Carry out planned electrical maintenance to keep equipment available for production.
• Diagnose and repair electrical faults to reduce disruption and restore equipment safely.
• Inspect electrical systems and identify practical improvements to reliability.
• Complete maintenance work to agreed standards and maintain clear records of tasks completed.
• Work with Engineering & Manufacturing colleagues to plan maintenance around operational needs.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and take a structured approach to fault finding.
• Support electrical improvement work that helps reduce repeat faults and unplanned downtime.
• Follow site safety procedures when completing electrical maintenance activities.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Maintenance Electrician should have:
