Job summary

Gold Group in Edmonton is seeking a Maintenance Craftsperson to maintain and repair critical mechanical systems, including HVAC, boilers and plumbing. You will perform planned and emergency maintenance, blockages clearance, and AP/CP duties to ensure safety and compliance.

The role requires hands-on mechanical skills, healthcare/critical infrastructure experience, and the ability to work independently or in a team. A 4-on/4-off dayshift roster and on-call duties apply.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in mechanical maintenance within healthcare or critical infrastructure.
• Skilled in HVAC, boilers, plumbing, and mechanical fault finding.
• Experienced in AP and CP duties and Health & Safety practices.
• Strong problem-solving, communication skills, and able to work independently or in teams.
• Mechanical qualifications and healthcare experience desirable.
• Physically able to work in demanding environments including confined spaces and heights.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine PPM and emergency repairs on mechanical systems.
• Diagnose and clear blockages in plumbing and drainage.
• Perform AP and CP duties to ensure system safety and compliance.
• Take part in a 1-week per month on-call rota.

Brief

Maintenance Craftsperson needed for a large well known Facilities Management organisation based in Edmonton who are looking to employ an experienced and well-rounded Maintenance Craftsperson that takes pride in their work.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing mechanical systems such as HVAC, boilers, and plumbing. You'll carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), fault repairs, blockage clearance, and perform Authorised Person (AP) and Competent Person (CP) duties.
