Job summary

Maintech Recruitment is seeking experienced contract maintenance engineers for on-site roles in Portsmouth. Rates: £38.00–£40.00 per hour, Outside IR35.

Long-term assignments and ad hoc shifts in highly automated environments. Applicants should have a time-served electrical or multi-skilled background with a minimum Level 3 qualification (City & Guilds/NVQ/BTEC), strong fault-finding skills, PLC knowledge, and at least 5 years' manufacturing experience.

Qualifications

• Time-served electrical or multi-skilled apprenticeship.
• Minimum City & Guilds, NVQ or BTEC Level 3.
• Strong fault-finding ability on automated machinery.
• PLC interrogation knowledge; basic programming and testing would be a distinct advantage.
• At least 5 years’ experience within manufacturing or highly automated environments maintaining production assets.
• Own hand tools and PPE.
• Full right to work in the UK without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Perform reactive and proactive maintenance on automated manufacturing equipment.
• Carry out fault-finding and repairs with PLC systems.
• Operate with own hand tools and PPE.
• Maintain high reliability and proactive problem solving.
• Work on long-term contracts and ad hoc shifts on-site in Portsmouth.

Contract Maintenance Engineers – Long term & Ad Hoc Shifts

Locations: Portsmouth

We are growing our Contract Maintenance team at Maintech Recruitment and are looking for experienced contract maintenance engineers across the Midlands and surrounding areas.

We currently have opportunities for multi-skilled maintenance engineers to support both long term assignments &ad hoc shifts, carrying out both reactive and proactive maintenance duties across manufacturing and highly automated environments.

You will need to be an experianced engineerand hold relevant qualifications to a minimum Level 3 standard.

Rate: £38.00 - £40.00 per hour
Status: Outside IR35
